The Congaree Riverkeeper is a non-profit organization incorporated under South Carolina law, and since August 2009, governed by a Board of Directors. The Board is made up of enthusiastic, hardworking individuals dedicated to the success of the Congaree Riverkeeper.

The Board Chairperson is Mullen Taylor, an attorney with the firm of McAngus Goudelock & Courie, who practices in the area of environmental and natural resource law.

The Vice-Chair is Brian Taylor, a marketing executive with his family architecture firm, LTC Associates.

George Durban, Director of Trust for First Citizens Bank and Trust, is the Treasurer of the Congaree Riverkeeper.

The Board’s Secretary is Gene Dinkins, Jr., a LEED-accredited civil engineer with his family firm, Cox & Dinkins, Inc.

John Brandon works in business development with GMK Associates Inc., a planning, design, engineering and management firm in Columbia.

Fred Hanna is a senior manager with B. P. Barber where he oversees multiple corporate programs across their organization.

Chris Kueny is President of the Riverland Park Neighborhood Association in Cayce, and owner/manager of Sub Station II in Cayce.

Ryan Nevius is the Chair of the Richland County Appearance Commission and serves as the Project Coordinator for Sustainable Midlands, a project of the Conservation Voters of South Carolina.

Debbie Parker is the Legislative Director for the Conservation Voters of South Carolina. Sandy Rankin is a master naturalist, and is currently the manager of Adventure Carolina in Cayce.

Tim Rogers is the managing partner of the law firm Austin and Rogers, and served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1983 to 1994.

James Smith is an attorney and member of the South Carolina House of Representatives.

Our Board is working hard to raise funds and develop policy positions for the protection of the Congaree, Lower Saluda, and Lower Broad Rivers.
